Best atmoshpere, best food, best servers, best chefs...Akira is the number one Japanese restaraunt in Bakersfield. It is always busy, because everybody knows this is the place to go. The manager lady is awesome and if you're nice to her she will work hard to make sure you get the very best service anywhere. Even if you're not nice to her, expect prompt professional service. The sushi guys are super freindly and they know their business...you will be hard pressed to find better sushi in this part of the state. The teppanyaki chefs are all experienced and talented. I have eaten at a lot of Japanese restaraunts in California and I can tell you Akira serves a quality product.
